Adoptions

Covid-19 Updates: Appointments are preferred

Requirements

  • Fill out the adoption questionnaire in advance of your visit. It takes a few minutes and is not indicating a commitment to adopt.

    • You must be at least 18 years old to adopt

  • Decide which location you plan to visit. Make an appointment for our HQ locations or come during the volunteer hours for catteries or dog adoption events.

  • Plan to spend around 30 minutes with the cat or dog you want to adopt. You'll want to plan to spend more time to fully complete the adoption process.

  • You must show a picture ID with a current address. If your address is not current on your ID, we will accept a picture ID with a current utility bill.

  • Cat adoption? We require you to live within 100 miles of Hemet, CA. Adopters outside this area are considered on case-by-case basis.

  • Dog adoption? We recommend a meet-and-greet with current household dogs. This step is required for some of our adult dogs.
